What financial support is provided?

Through the support of the Edward and
Betty Marcus Foundation, five awards have been granted
annually since 1995.

Each Fellow selected will be awarded a
total stipend of $15,000 (before payroll deductions) for
a 12-month period of graduate study in the School of Visual
Arts at UNT beginning in the Fall semester and terminating
the 31st of August.

In addition, awards include tuition and
fees, paid state health benefits (for the Fellow only)
as well as a travel allowance to assist in attending professional
meetings and conferences. Marcus Fellows are expected
to participate in sessions at state and national conferences.

The award does not cover books,
supplies, housing accommodations, expenses related to
the summer museum internship, or other personal expenses
such as commuting. Locating housing is the responsibility
of each Fellow.
