
Who may apply?
- Applicants must be residents of the state of Texas and
qualify for admission to the graduate program in art education
in the School of Visual Arts at the University of North
Texas
- Preference will be given to individuals who already
have a master's degree; however, outstanding candidates
with only a baccalaureate degree will be considered.
- Special attention will be given to applicants who have
participated in advocacy efforts and/or other initiatives
in comprehensive visual arts education supported by the
Edward and Betty Marcus Foundation.
- Additional consideration will be given to applicants
who can provide strong evidence of local support from
a school district, museum, arts agency, or a combination
of these.
- Individuals must be willing to commit to work for a
minimum of two years in Texas in art education or museum
education upon the completion of the fellowship.
