Learn About Us.
The Print Research Institute of North Texas, P.R.I.N.T., is a fine art press affiliated with the University of North Texas School of Visual Arts. It was established in 1993 with a generous donation from Mike and Jo Hart, founders of Peregrine Press, Dallas, TX, 1981-1991.
P.R.I.N.T. is committed to sustaining and expanding the collaboration of fine art printmaking. The P.R.I.N.T. program involves promoting education and the raising visibility and the enhancement of the School of Visual Arts through the affiliated fine art press. In addition, P.R.I.N.T. includes the production of sales and exhibitions of the artist's work as well as professional program training.
Our Goals
- To create contemporary art, by working with both emerging and established artists in various printmaking media on site.
- To educate students in the environment of a professional print shop, through internships, learning from working artists, as well as participating in the production, curating, and marketing aspects of the artists prints.
- To better serve the North Texas area as a resource for contemporary art and for the understanding of prints and its various techniques.
