Terry Allen, a true multidisciplinary artist has utilized a broad range of media: paintings, writings, drawings, installation and sculpture, but he is equally accomplished in printmaking in order to accommodate his artistic expression. Allen is also well know for his raw, rockabilly music with his band Panhandle Mystery Band in Lubbock, Texas, where he considers his roots. Allen has received many awards and has been active in creating public outdoor sculpture commissions. In addition, he has been in numerous high-profile solo and group exhibitions including The Artist's Eye: Terry Allen, Kimbell Art Museum, TX, Centenary Print Exhibition, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fort Worth, TX, Rooms and Stories, La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, CA and Still Life: The Object in American Art 1915-1995, Selections from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY.

Allen is currently in collections of MoMA, NY; Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, Museum of Contemporary Art, CA; Museum of Fine Art, Houston, TX; Dallas Museum of Art, TX among many other respected institutions and venues.
